NCL Epic Cruise 2011: Sunday November 20, 2011

The wind is relentless and is really beating you up. They can’t open the balcony doors because of the wind. We went to lido deck for breakfast so the kids could swim after and a guy was carrying his food to his table and his food started blowing off his plate! Yikes. The kids did the water slides for a while and then got in the pool but the water was sloshing to the point where is was a bit dangerous for them as they were being tossed from one end to the other. We needed to get ready for our Slime Time Live performance as our reservation was today at 1. It was a really cute show and Chris and Lindsay were disappointed they didn’t get picked to go on stage but Paige was content to watch. Lindsay and I came back to the cabin to take a nap and I wrote the blog and Teresa, Chris and Paige did the rock climbing wall and then repelled. Show offs. We didn’t have restaurant plans for dinner tonight but had 7 PM reservations for Blue Man Group so we went to the main dining room. Dinner was just ok but we were able to get in and out of there withing 45 minutes with a cash tip and were pretty close to being down front for Blue Man. The kids enjoyed this show more than I did but it was fun to watch them have such a good time with all the goofy antics. They also posed for pictures with people after the show. Chris and Paige went to Recess after the show and Lindsay hung with Mom and I. We went to the piano bar which is Howl at the Moon. They were very good. After that I went back to the cabin with Lindsay and we went to bed. Sleeping last night was difficult though as the seas were so rough and wind so strong that the balcony furniture was sliding around and banging against the balcony and dividers. Teresa said that something structural was clanging in her cabin that kept her awake beyond the balcony furniture. I finally fell asleep after 3 am but the kids had no problem sleeping…
